Did Mark try and stitch me up?

So I pickup Mark for breakfast on Saturday. Arrive at 6:20am. Lights are out. I walk around the side of the house toward the garage looking up to see if I can see any signs of life… do I call, knock, or has he slept in and I should just carry on without him?

Next thing I notice a police car idling up in front of the driveway with no lights on. I think does this looks odd, me standing outside a house at this early hour? I jump on the phone and call Mark… hes not picking up. Then the the cop gets out and starts asking me who I am, what am I doing, where did I drive from, do I know the owner of the house etc. Boy Mark took a long time to pickup the phone! Turns out somebody called the police and reported a suspicious van driving around the area. Mark answers the phone and opens the door just as the cop drives away. I am a bit sleepy in the morning, but was wide eyed after that!

Mark reckons he got to the door, but had to hobble back when his phone started ringing to answer it… I think he was watching out a window the whole time and having a good laugh 🙂
