For me it was about the journey getting to the show, rather than the show. I’ve been busy putting a 261 into my 49 Chevy Coupe and drove it for the first time to the show. This was a personal milestone. Weather wise, it was pretty crappy with rain, but the flip side is that really increased the odds of winning a prize as a lot of the “show” car guys left as soon as moisture was felt. They had just over 2200 cars registered. Seems each year there is more muscle cars and less hotrods or customs. Rudy and I went and hung out with Bill at the show. Rudy was lucky winning $100 on the Sunday afternoon, but what was giveth was soon taketh as the rollback driver took that and more out of his wallet!
