2\/23\/2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I picked up a &#8217;35-36 car column  drop to modify for the roadster.\u00a0 I cut it where it necked down, and  then cut another wedge from the base.\u00a0 This allowed the two faces to be  parallel after mounting the base to the curved &#8217;32 dash.\u00a0 I ended up  stretching it 2 1\/2&#8243; to match up with the steering shaft.\u00a0 The next step  is to finish the tube, and then ship everything to Baxter to get the  drop and steering box rebuilt.<\/p>\n<p>For the rear spring hangers, I  started with some Pete &amp; Jakes parts.\u00a0 I really didn&#8217;t want a  cookie-cutter look, so I modified the main plate (had to shorten it for  my spring to axle tube dimension).\u00a0 I cut some tapered pieces of 3\/16&#8243;
