{"id":2,"date":"2010-09-06T19:11:11","date_gmt":"2010-09-06T19:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/0319df1.netsolhost.com\/misfitsmidwest\/blog\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2010-09-24T09:23:24","modified_gmt":"2010-09-24T14:23:24","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.misfitsmidwest.com\/blog\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Misfits Hot Rod and Kustom Car Social Club\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Est.1958<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Based in Kansas City and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CONSTITUTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Purpose and direction of the Misfits Hot Rod and Kustom Car and Social Club is to enjoy the fun and friendship of cars with a minimum of rules and organization of others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications for Membership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ownership of (or at least know where one is located) one or more pre 1965 vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>Said vehicle must be modified (just in primer counts) in a traditional manner.<\/li>\n<li>Members must agree to strickly abide by the bylaws set forth herein.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bylaws<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following bylaws shall be considered as absolute, un-amendable, and &#8220;etched instone&#8221;, unless a member or members can consider the offending laws as non-existent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Club Meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A club meeting shall be deemed as officially in session when two or more members find themselves engaged in drinking of any kind.<\/li>\n<li>No attempt shall be made to formally require the assembly of the entire membership for a meeting or any other function.\u00a0 Such a demand will be considered insulting and should be unnecessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Club Officers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All club members shall hold the title of club president.<\/li>\n<li>The biggest guy will be the Sargent-at-arms.<\/li>\n<li>A treasurer is not needed because no one has any money any way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Membership Limitations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There shall be no less than two members.\u00a0 Should the official club roster fall below two qualified members, the club shall be considered disbanded!\u00a0 Yeah, bet me!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dues and Fines<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There shall be no club dues (however there is a $5,000 fee to quit the club), but hey, if we kick you out&#8230; its free!<\/li>\n<li>Fines are appropriated to the offense and shall be levied at the discretion of the club president.\u00a0 NOTE: Club presidents are exempt from any form of fine, judgment or censure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Club Uniform<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The official club uniform is the Misfits t-shirt or jacket or any shirt with Misfits logo on it, worn in concert with any other garments that cover the area commonly known as the &#8220;private parts&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Club shirts, stickers etc remain the property of the club and shall return to the clubs possession upon the resignation, termination, cancellation or degradation of a member.\u00a0 Said member (hereafter referred to as &#8220;loser&#8221;) will be reimbursed for the value of their Misfits related material.\u00a0 Yeah, right!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Misfits Hot Rod and Kustom Car Social Club\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Est.1958 Based in Kansas City and the surrounding area.
